Quick reminder that I am only human:
I am on the road this week with limited time and limited internet. I am trying to keep up but please forgive slow ping-back approval and any errors and omissions. I never intentionally leave anyone out.
My offerings for this week:
This week I am off to retrieve my father from his winter nest in Arizona. The day I arrived he and a family friend met me at the airport, and we visited a really neat museum-Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. So I thought some saddles might be fun for this week. They had several very beautiful ones on display.

Gorgeous and smooth as they are, much more comfortable than a bicycle seat, I can’t begin to imagine spending a long day in one.
Wow these seats almost prompted me to retrieve my spurs & chaps out of the closet 😉

Western museums are always interesting. Saddles can be pieces of art.

The only time I sat in a saddle I was very scared… it was so high. I prefer my seat: https://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2019/04/06/coffee-time/

Interesting how different saddles can be! I don’t really have any experience of them, as I’ve never been horse-riding in my life! Here’s my contribution: https://mrssuvi.com/2019/04/06/rooftop-view-of-milan/

The few times I was I was terrified. Horses are pretty tall. I’m not specifically afraid of heights, but I am afraid of falling.

Beautiful photos! I have some saddle photos as well, taken recently when I went with my sister to purchase a new horse. But my contribution is a few occupied piano benches: https://encoreoldpianos.net/2019/04/09/weekly-photo-challenge-pull-up-a-seat/
