Thanks to POTUS we now have sewing machines and Toyotaβs converted to respirators so the Hospitals ICUβs can handle thousands more cases. πππ₯π€ πΌπ§ππ£πͺπ ππ πππ₯ππ ππ₯ πππ πππ₯ ππ₯ π π§ππ£ π¨ππ₯π. The problem with the “let’s all go ahead and get it” theory is the very first thing you mentioned. The system is already overwhelmed.
In the cases of measles and chicken pox a significant percentage of the population was already immune when you were visiting your cousins, and you were only infecting a small number of people at a time. That way they could get medical attention if they were unlucky enough to get a bad case.
With COVID essentially no one is immune yet. Percentage-wise that is still true in places where they have had a lot of cases. It is hard for us to wrap our heads around this because it is out of our experience base.
