Iris in Black-and-white

Black and white treatment of a Siberian Iris.
I think this is a Siberian Iris.

This photo was taken with my Sony RX10iv camera. Settings: F2.4, ISO 100, 1/100s, 8.8mm focal length (24mm 35mm equivalent). Converted to black and white using Raw Therapee then cropped and vignette in the GIMP.

If you are interested in checking out Raw Therapee for black and white I did a post on the tools for my other blog: Black and white digital photo processing part 2: Using Raw Therapee. I’m working on a series that explores open source (free) tools for black and white.

Original color picture.

For Brashley Photography’s Mid-week Monochrome and Cee’s Flower of the Day.
