The flowers are pretty but I am fascinated by the feathers that grow on clematis seed heads.
Gan Xingfu (chasing happiness) 赶兴福
This November I am chasing happiness by photographing and sharing one lovely thing I see each day. I do edit the photos, often with an artistic effect like the one above, because playing with a lovely thing makes me happy.
Note: My son checked with his co-workers and, while they haven’t heard the phrase gan xingfu, they thought it was just fine to use.
For more explanation about this project check out this post: Whatsoever is lovely…day 1.
This is posted for Nanopoblano and Cee’s Flower of the Day-she used a clematis as well.

Really? I didn’t know that…or see any. But around here spiders are pretty common in the fall.

Maybe I dislike spiders worse than you. Or maybe a one time case. I will never put up a trellis again, that happened in Iowa I live in Tennessee now & won’t grow Clematis again 🕷

They can be alarming. We have many, but they aren’t super big around here.

Fly swatters don’t work & discharging a shot gun in the city limits is against the law ,I don’t care I still hate spiders & snakes, I put out ‘slug’ bait and keeps most every thing out of my yard 😉

I’ve never seen these. They blow me away. Clematis are like Dr. Seuss flowers.
