The salmon berry is unusual in that it has a bright pink flower. Seems like most other berries have white or pale pink ones. The color of the berries is usually orange, but can be on the red side if they get sun (since it tends to grow in dense woods that is an anomaly). It’s called “salmon berry” because the orange berries look like a cluster of salmon roe. It is kind of watery and doesn’t have a strong flavor, either sweet or tart, compared with thimble-berries, huckleberries or blackberries.
Cee’s Flower of the Day and Wordless Wednesday.
Today was SPRING! Seems like just about everything is blooming.
Some of the colors seemed almost autumnal.
For Cee’s Flower of the Day. In this case flowers, and leaves. I couldn’t choose.
Today was a lovely day and the little branch of the cherry tree that I’ve been watching was in full bloom.
Tomorrow it may start dropping petals.
These caught my eye this morning. The wisteria is just starting to come into bloom.

For Brashley Photography’s Twirling Tuesday. It’s a lot of fun you should give it a spin!
