Spring is here technically but it’s still pretty chilly. Sunday I went out in search of signs of spring. The first spring green I found was the very healthy moss growing on the fire pit. It was spring green the color, but a very winter-y sort of growth.
From a distance there doesn’t seem to be much green in the woods.
Looking closer, I found a few brave leaves starting to emerge.
Naturally the stinging nettle was the most lush!
Our world took a turn toward the white this week. I took these pictures a couple of days ago. Now the flowers are totally buried.
For HeyJude’s Life in Colour and Cee’s Flower of the Day.
Yellow is not prevalent in February in Seattle. For HeyJude’s Life in Colour I did a scavenger hunt for yellow while walking the dogs this morning.
Hey Jude for Life in Colour this month chose brown as the theme and asked “what browns can you find in the world?”. I took these photos today thinking about that theme. Brown is a funny color, I often don’t see it. I tend to see things that many people see as brown as shades of red or orange. I think these are brown?
Also this is my entry for Lens Artists: Its a small world.
