A soft gray-green day

This time of year the wood look soft with the moss and ferns providing a touch of bright green on a drippy gray day. Moss’s texture catches and reflects light, in almost the same way that glitter does. It appears brighter than anything should almost sunlit at times, even though the sun was AWOL.

The creek is full

Every year the winter rains and high tides reform the tide flats near Shinglemill creek. Today was a low enough tide to walk the beach, without rain, but the creek is still full and running fast and deep. My little dogs were intimidated and couldn’t get across, but they kept trying.

November nature in black and white
