A few pictures from my September. A month that is neither summer nor fall. It’s had some beautiful weather, some smoky weather, some rain
I’ve been quite depressed this month. I’m reclusive by nature so the on-going near quarantine mostly hasn’t bothered me. But our cat is ailing, the three ring circus in DC is wearing on my nerves, and I usually am getting ready to go or am on my way to China at this time of the year. Right now I am starting to wonder if I will ever see my son again (he lives in China). There just isn’t anything to look forward to…
The smoke that blew in overnight made the sunlight diffuse with a slight golden cast.
Air quality is pretty poor here, so it’s not good to be outside right now, but I have to walk the dogs and the light was pretty on the flowers along our path this morning.
My heart really goes out to everyone who is closer to the wild fires. In Seattle the air is bad: itchy eyes, congestion and scratchy throat bad (at least for me). It reminds me of being in China. We seem to get a stretch of this every year of late.
Still a few full blown flowers, but many blooms are starting to fade and the seed pods are starting to swell. These are from walking my dogs the past few mornings.
