Pull up a Seat Photo Challenge 2019-Week 2

A PHOTO CHALLENGE OF PLACES WE SIT…OR MIGHT SIT…OR ART ABOUT SITTING

Welcome to week 1 of the Pull up a Seat Challenge in 2019. Take a load off and share a favorite perch by linking your post to this one, either with a comment or ping-back. For more detailed directions go to Pull Up a Seat page.

Thank you to everyone who participated this week. It is always fun to see the variety of ideas. If I didn’t get to your site please forgive me: I’ve been in Arizona at a location where the internet is the worst I’ve experienced since being in a remote village in Kenya with a cell phone modem seven years ago. I think I got all of the posts for last week into the list below so you can check them out easily.

Here are my pictures for this week. I’ve been traveling to Arizona with my father.

I have a question for you all: is it helpful to have me list links to entries for the previous weeks? I do so to try and make it easy to take a look at the wide variety of photos that people enter, but it does take a little time…and the risk that maybe I miss someone, or misspell something. What do you think?

Thank you to everyone who participated this week. It is always fun to see the variety of ideas.

Here are mine for the week:

From a visit to the Arboretum at South Seattle Community College in September:

Is 13 unlucky? It doesn’t feel that way to me. Seems like a good time to thank everyone who has been participating in this challenge. It has been a lot of fun for me to see the wide variety of posts people think of for this one simple topic, I hope you are enjoying it also.

Thank you to everyone who participated this week.

Here are my offerings for this week, these were all taken in Weifang, China a couple of years ago.

It  has been a busy week preparing for Thanksgiving so I only have a couple of offerings:

Adirondack chair and porch glider under a Japanese mople tree turning gold for fall.
Our porch chairs moved to make room for other things.
Woman in a wheel chair with one dog in her lap and one on the armchair beside her.
Grandma and company.

Over to you.

Here’s my contribution:

I attended a conference at the Washington State Convention Center. It was in the conference center part. One thing I really liked was how it had comfortable seating in little alcoves here and there where you could take a break from being with people. I’m not very good at the mix and mingle thing.

After the Sunday sessions my husband met me and we walked through downtown to our favorite watering hole, the Owl and Thistle Pub. We’ve been going there for about thirty years now.

Sidewalk seating for a cafe. The sign said only patrons or messengers could sit there.
Chairs at the Owl and Thistle Pub, a nice place to end the day.

These were architecturally a great match for the space, the Microsoft Auditorium at Seattle Central Library, but not particularly comfortable.
